SYSTRA has carried out technical studies for a 140 km Hyperloop line between Pune and Mumbai in Maharashtra State in India.

In May 2018, SYSTRA was awarded the study contract to design a Hyperloop line between Mumbai and Pune which aims to reduce the travel time of 3 hours 21 minutes by train to 30 minutes.

SYSTRA’s assignment comprised of:

  • Feasibility analysis of the line via geographical and topographical studies, station location and route planning studies, and forecast travel demand studies;
  • Assessment of the safety constraints and power requirements;
  • Conceptual and preliminary design of elevated and underground structures, stations and depot.
  • Project implementation plan.
