Context
Are you an experienced Stakeholder Manager ready to make a significant impact on a large-scale public transportation project? Join our Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team as we deliver the transformational Madinah BRT project in Saudi Arabia.
The Madinah BRT project is a flagship urban mobility initiative aiming to deliver world-class public transportation solutions in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. As part of the Project Management Consultancy team, you will ensure effective communication and alignment between all relevant stakeholders, supporting the successful planning, delivery, implementation, and operation of the BRT system.
Missions/Main Duties
Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key project stakeholders including government authorities, local communities, contractors, and partners.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the project team and external stakeholders.
- Ensure stakeholder expectations are understood, managed, and addressed efficiently.
Communication and Coordination:
- Facilitate clear and effective communication between internal teams and external stakeholders to prevent misunderstandings or conflicts.
- Organize stakeholder meetings, presentations, and progress reports.
- Address stakeholder concerns and manage feedback to ensure project alignment.
Compliance and Approvals:
- Liaise with government authorities to ensure compliance with local regulations and obtain necessary project permits and approvals.
- Monitor regulatory changes that may affect the project and ensure proactive communication with relevant parties.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential stakeholder-related risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Manage conflicts that arise between project requirements and stakeholder expectations, and provide solutions in a timely manner.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and deliver reports on stakeholder engagement activities, progress, and any issues requiring attention.
- Maintain records of all communications and decisions made with stakeholders.
Project Support:
- Work closely with project managers, design teams, and engineers to align the project objectives with stakeholder requirements.
- Assist in project delivery by ensuring that stakeholder concerns do not negatively impact timelines or project scope.
Profile/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10- 15 years of experience in stakeholder management within large-scale infrastructure or metro projects.
- Proven experience in managing government relations and interfacing with regulatory bodies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels. - Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabian regulatory and political landscape.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic is a must.
- Adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders with diverse interests.
- Culturally sensitive and capable of managing complex stakeholder dynamics.
