SYSTRA Bangladesh’s comprehensive know-how and expertise in Railways provides a wide spectrum of solutions for any challenge (Building a new rail link, doubling the capacity, gauge conversion, upgrading a network, improving the performance of existing lines, etc.).
Our extensive experience encompasses, Bridges, station buildings, Depots, Earthwork & Track Works, Power Supply and Transmission, Signaling & Telecommunications, Rolling Stock, Utilities diversion and yard re-modelling etc.
Our services cover the entire life cycle of the project implementation.
Currently, we are bidding for Bridge projects across Bangladesh. The position of Senior Highway Engineer is the key position in these BIDs.
Missions/Main Duties
- Develop and review highway alignments, profiles, and cross-sections to ensure smooth integration with the bridge structure.
- Design and supervise construction of approach roads, embankments, and transitions leading to and from the bridge.
- Prepare pavement layer compositions and drainage layouts for long-term durability and water management.
- Incorporate safety features like signage, guardrails, and road markings; manage temporary traffic diversions during construction
- Collaborate with structural and geotechnical teams; ensure highway works meet specifications and design standards
Profile/Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or material engineering, post graduate degree preferred.
- Min.12 years of professional experience
- Min. 8 years of design experience in highway design and maintenance
- Experience in road safety aspects in road and bridge projects
