Context

Systra’s Systems business in India has design and project management capabilities in the systems space. Experts in railway equipment, our teams are experienced in choosing the best-adapted solutions to each situation while meeting various regulatory standards.​

SYSTRA has detailed design competency in India in the power supply and overhead lines business in both AC & DC traction. We have also capabilities of designing AC & DC traction, third rail, power supply and OHL. We have experience in executing domestic and some prestigious international projects.

On the Rolling stock, Signaling, Telecommunications, AFC, RAMS & Operations side, Systra India is executing several design review and detailed project reports like: MRVC-CBTC (Migration of Existing Sub-Urban Transit system to CBTC), Bangalore Metro, Kolkata Metro, Pune Metro Phase II, Vijayawada MRTS and Dhaka Metro Line 5N.​

Missions/Main Duties

• Develop and calibrate transport models using tools e.g. VISUM, CUBE, Aimsum, TRANSCAD, EMME etc.
• Conduct macroscopic modeling, traffic simulation studies to evaluate roadways / PT performances, mobility scenario evaluation, traffic management schemes and infrastructure changes.
• Interprete and analyze transport data to support development of multi-modal transport solutions.
• Prepare reports, presentations and technical documents to communicate analysis findings to
• Experience in preparation of Feasibility Reports, DPR, Comprehensive Traffic and Transport Plans, Comprehensive Mobility Plan and various mobility assessments as per project requirements.
• Candidate should have experience of working in DPRs for regional rail services and metro rail projects including Alternatives analysis.
• Support transport planning projects including feasibility studies, mobility plans and detailed project reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including urban planners, engineers and environmental consultants.
• Assist in proposal development and business development initiatives, when required.

Profile/Skills

• 5-8 years of relevant professional experience in transport modelling, especially macroscopic modeling.

• Proficiency in one or more of the following software: VISUM, TRANSCAD, Aimsum, CUBE, EMME.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data handling using Excel, Python, GIS Tools (ArcGIS / QGIS).

• Good Knowledge in MS office Suites.

• Experience in preparing and presenting technical reports and client presentations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams.

• Must have strong time-management skills and maintain focus and discipline.
