Context
SYSTRA Denmark is a key player in the electrification of the Danish and Nordic railway. Our Overhead Contact Systems and Cable Routing department designs advanced overhead line installations and plays a vital role in some of the industry’s most significant infrastructure projects. You will become part of a strong team of 20 colleagues who advise clients at both national and international levels.
Specifically, we serve as client advisors to Banedanmark on the Electrification Program and are looking for someone with experience in railway electrification.
Missions/Main Duties
As a client advisor, you will have a broad and challenging role, acting as the client’s independent sparring partner and ensuring that projects are carried out at the desired levels of quality, time, and budget. Your main tasks will include:
- Advising during the detailed design phases, need assessments, and development of project strategies
- Ongoing dialogue, coordination, and communication between the client, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders
- Preparing risk assessments and quality control of the work of turnkey contractors
- Ensuring that designs are carried out in accordance with current standards, norms, and agreements
- Advising on unforeseen events and issues—including technical and legal support
- Professional leadership and knowledge-sharing within the project team, including mentoring young engineers
- Ensuring that project results align with the client’s vision and success criteria
- Participation in technical meetings with contractors and the client
Profile/Skills
We imagine that you:
- Have an engineering or technical background, preferably supplemented by relevant experience in consulting on construction and civil works projects
- Have at least 3 years of experience in electrification and/or railway projects
- Have the ability to understand complex issues
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills in both Danish and English
- Thrive in both technical analyses and dialogue with many different stakeholders
- Are structured, decisive, and able to maintain an overview—even when things move fast
- Have a commercial focus and are used to considering quality, economy, and time
- Are eager to further develop yourself—both as a specialist and as a sparring partner for colleagues
