SYSTRA signs Consultancy contract for the extension of Bangkok’s Green Metro line.
Following an international tender, on 5th March 2012 SYSTRA was in Bangkok to sign the
consultancy contract (Project Management Consultant and Construction Supervision) for the
extension to the city’s Green Metro line. The entire 12.6km extension is a viaduct section including
9 overground stations and a depot.
SYSTRA is part of a consortium with local engineering firms ChotichindaMouchel (leading partner),
PCBK, MAA Consultants and Wisit Engineering.
SYSTRA will provide the Project Manager and will mainly be involved in electro-mechanical elements.
The contract is for a period of 55 months.
This contract marks a first breakthrough in Thailand for the Asia Pacific Australia Region (APA) - a
country where there are plans to build 5 new metro lines, a high-speed rail line, and an LRT in Pataya
and Chiang Mai. SYSTRA is currently working on studies for the high-speed rail line and LRT in Pataya.
