European Talent in Mobility: a SYSTRA employee honoured
SYSTRA is pleased to announce that the European Talent in Mobility prize in the Best Young Talent category has been awarded to Romain Taillandier.
Romain Taillandier has two passions: tramways, and the world. A mechanical engineer and graduate of IFMA, with additional training in Germany and the United States, Romain already possesses a solid background in project management. Upon joining SYSTRA in 2009, he was made contract manager in the Paris Region for the construction of the T7 Tram/LRT (Villejuif – Athis-Mons), then technical coordinator for the preliminary design studies of the T10 Tram/LRT (Antony – Clamart), leading a team of 10 engineers.
Romain next used his experience to serve Latin America: in 2014, he coordinated SYSTRA’s infrastructural design process for the tramway in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, built for the Olympic Games. Next, he returned to Europe and became project manager for system integration in the design and build of the Aarhus tramway, Denmark’s first modern light rail line. His experience in tramway projects and team management make him a promising leader in the Northern European region where he brings his talent to the development of urban transport.
With Romain, youth moves the world. The SYSTRA family congratulates him on this award; his dynamic, international profile is a reflection of the Group’s bright prospects.
