A BRT corridor for Ho Chi Minh City with MVA
To decongest the streets of Ho Chi Minh City, the SYSTRA Group subsidiary MVA has designed a BRT network for CNG vehicles.
In Ho Chi Minh City, the main economic and industrial city of Vietnam, transportation problematics are crucial: 12.5 million inhabitants live there, and roads are often congested. To enhance bus traffic, a BRT –Bus Rapid Transport- line is designed by MVA, a SYSTRA Group subsidiary.
The BRT line is a 23 km long track from An Lac in the southeast to Rach Chiec interchange in the northwest, and has 28 dedicated stations with accessibility improvements. Autobus will be fueled by CNG –Compressed Natural Gas-, the less CO2 emitting fossil fuel in the atmosphere, making this line a “green corridor”. Commissioning is expected in July 2017. From 2025, 5 other BRT lines will be deployed to compose a whole new network.

In Viet Nam, SYSTRA is also involved in the Ho Chi Minh City metro Line 1 and Hanoi metro Line 3 construction. MVA, SYSTRA Group subsidiary in Asia since 1994, was founded in 1968.
