The Cycle Express Network of Toulouse (Réseau Express Vélo, REVe) project aims to create cycle routes dedicated to journeys of between 5km and 20km with a ‘high level of service’, which combines safety and comfort with associated services (secure bicycle parking, adapted lighting, etc.) to improve the daily life of cyclists, in the Greater Toulouse area. The aim is to promote safe and peaceful mobility while considering how to redevelop public spaces, crossroads, infrastructures, and superstructures.
Following a first contract awarded by the Haute-Garonne Departmental Council for the studies of the REV n°14 along the Saint-Martory Canal in 2020, SYSTRA, as representative of a consortium of engineering consultants, won two new contracts in 2021 for the preliminary design lots for the Toulouse REVe.
Several areas of expertise involved
The work covers almost 300km of the network, and 50km of level 2 development. SYSTRA, with a partner and a subcontractor, is mobilising more than 30 experts in mobility, civil engineering, and urban development for these assignments.
