Context

As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key supporting role in the investigation, design, and delivery of geotechnical solutions for foundation and pavement engineering projects within the transportation, infrastructure, and major projects sectors.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Support the planning, design, and delivery of geotechnical investigations for foundation and pavement engineering projects across transportation, infrastructure, and major developments.
  • Provide technical support, design input, and reporting assistance under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Assist with site investigations, soil sampling, and laboratory testing.
  • Interpret soil, rock, and groundwater data to support geotechnical design recommendations.
  • Help prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Contribute to the design and assessment of foundations, roads and pavements, retaining structures, slope stability, and ground improvement solutions.
  • Participate in field activities, including site supervision, drilling operations, construction monitoring, and laboratory testing support.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to help deliver project objectives on time and within budget.
  • Ensure work is carried out in accordance with relevant industry standards, codes, and health and safety regulations.

Profile/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or Geological Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Registered as an E.I.T is preferrable.
  • 4 + years of relevant experience, with demonstrated involvement in geotechnical design and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles, soil mechanics, foundation design, and pavement structure analysis.
  • Experience with materials testing, subgrade assessment, and foundation system recommendations is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical reports and presentations.
  • Willingness to travel and perform fieldwork, including site investigations and construction monitoring, as required.
