Context

The Cost Control Analyst – Design & Prelims will be based at Systra’s Ahmedabad office, providing focused support to Systra UK on major infrastructure programmes. Operating within the framework of project controls, the role emphasizes monthly cost control duties, analysis of prelims and design work packages, and reconciliation of programme forecasts with actuals. With strong skills in Excel and Power BI, the analyst will prepare weekly quantity reports, track accruals and changes, and consolidate financial year costs into clear, simplified formats. Working closely with the Cost Control Manager, commercial teams, and project controls, this position requires a solid understanding of cost forecasting, NEC contracts, and collaborative communication—ensuring accurate reporting and financial transparency across the project lifecycle.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Perform monthly cost control duties in close coordination with the Cost Control Manager.
  • Analyse and forecast prelims WPs actuals, design actuals, and GMMP actuals.
  • Prepare reconciliations of cost forecasts vs programme forecasts.
  • Produce weekly quantities reports and review cost allocations.
  • Support commercial team with monthly cost reports, accruals, and change register tracking.
  • Consolidate and present financial year costs in simplified formats and graphs.

Profile/Skills

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering (Civil Engineering preferred); Master’s/MBA preferred
  • Good understanding of cost control methods, forecasting, and performance reporting.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
  • Experience in construction project cost analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with NEC contracts and tender/contract documentation.
  • Strong collaborative working and communication skills.
