Configuration Lead – System Engineering

Context

Systra is hiring for a Configuration Lead, reporting to Systems Engineering Manager for a Rail Project in Ontario.

Missions/Main Duties

• Establish and manage the configuration management framework for Integration & Assurance;
• define baselines for requirements, designs and key configuration items;
• administer change control boards, including recording, assessing and tracking changes;
• ensure configuration status accounting is maintained and transparent;
• coordinate with CDE, design and requirements teams to keep configuration data aligned and auditable.

Profile/Skills

• University degree in Engineering, Information Management or related discipline; 8+ years’ experience in configuration management on complex engineering projects (preferably rail / transit);
• Relevant professional designation or training in configuration management (e.g., CMII or equivalent);
• P.Eng considered an asset
• proven experience setting up and operating configuration control processes, baselines and change management;
• familiarity with CDEs, requirements and design tools and their interactions;
• strong documentation and coordination skills.
