Why have you chosen to build your career with SYSTRA?

Working at SYSTRA gives me the opportunity to contribute to multiple projects across Australia and New Zealand in what I consider my core expertise, i.e. the deployment of ETCS-based signalling solutions.

In my role as Director of Rail Engineering, supported by local and international experts, I deal with the stakeholders of iconic projects along the entire project life cycle, from the early concept specification, down to solution delivery and entry into service, helping them to shape the future of Australian railways.

This is a privileged position that cannot be easily matched by other opportunities from the job market.

Looking back, what’s a favourite project, memory, or moment that stands out to you?

I was part of the SYSTRA’s team that supported TfNSW and Sydney Trains to deploy the Automatic Train Protection system (based on ETCS L1 technology) across Sydney’s network and a number of passenger fleets.

This was a remarkable experience considering the strategic relevance of the Project to improve safety across the network and to open the way to the further development of ETCS L2.

SYSTRA also gave me the opportunity to spend almost four years within the clients office, which only added to the experience and made ATP one of the most remarkable experiences of my career so far.
