SYSTRA to supervise the construction of two new high speed lines in Egypt

SYSTRA will supervise the construction in the role of Employer’s Representative (General Consultant) on behalf of the National Authority for Tunnels (NAT), our longstanding partner.

Once complete, the EET, which will carry both passengers and freight, will consist of three main lines (Blue, Red and Green) over a length of 2,000km.

The project aims to connect the three lines as a complete network with airports, seaports, dry ports, and logistics areas.

A prominent role for SYSTRA

Within the consortium, SYSTRA will integrate, ensure, monitor, co-ordinate, follow-up and facilitate the execution of the overall project working with the support of our local historical partners Arab Consulting Engineers (ACE) and SHAKER Consultancy Group and act as Employer’s Representative to manage the delivery of the Blue Line and the Red Line, a total of 1,325km and 39 stations, in 48 months.

The EET will significantly enhance the transport system in Egypt and our teams are proud to be at the heart of this high-speed network, as strategic as it is challenging, and to be part of this exceptional success story for the country. We are delighted that the Ministry of Transport has once again placed its trust and confidence in SYSTRA. We are thus consolidating our position as the pioneer for the development of Transport Projects in Egypt and the preferred advisor to the NAT with whom we have worked for almost 50 years. We look forward to the successful completion of our assignment which will be carried out in close and effective collaboration with our client the NAT and our local partners.
