SYSTRA has been awarded another project for the Istanbul Metro, marking a new step in the city’s evolving transport offer. This latest assignment covers the detailed design of the 6-km Kazim Karabekir–Topağacı Ümraniye Sports Village section of the metro, extending the existing Altunizade–Çamlıca Mosque–Bosna Boulevard section on the M14 Line.
New project for the Istanbul Metro in Türkiye

As Istanbul continues to grow, this new link will help shape smoother and more connected journeys every day for thousands of passengers. It also reflects the city’s continued investment in sustainable, high-capacity public transport solutions designed to improve accessibility, reduce congestion and support long-term urban development.

SYSTRA Türkiye will provide execution design services for Kazim Karabekir–Topağacı Ümraniye Sports Village Metro as the designer of the Çelikler – Fernas – Güryapı Joint Venture under the authority of AYGM, the body responsible for infrastructure investment.

This new project is an exciting opportunity to help deliver better connections for Istanbul and support the city’s ambitious vision for mobility. We are proud to continue contributing our expertise to a network that will make travel easier, faster and more reliable for passengers across the city.
