SYSTRA India was designated project manager of Line 3 by BMRC (Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd.), to provide detailed design consultancy services for viaduct and stations
Construction of Line 3 is part of Bangalore Metro phase 2. Its objective is to decongest the city traffic by providing a reliable and seamless transport system.
Phase 2 involves the extensions of two lines and the construction of two new ones (including Line 3), for in total 72km of metro lines and 69 stations.
From R.V. Road to Bommasandra station, Line 3 has 16 stations. Its total length is 16.5km of elevated line, including 3.09km of Rail cum Road bridge.
SYSTRA’s role:
The scope of work covers the preparation of:
- Civil engineering
- Urban integration
- Revenue & Traffic forecast
- Procurement management
- Detailed design and construction of the stations.
