What is your job?
I am Principal Transport Planner for SYSTRA Scott Lister, the Australian branch of the Group. More specifically, I am in charge of developing the consulting and digital transformation activities in Australia and New Zealand.
I previously worked in Paris as a consultant and/or project manager on consulting assignments in France and Mexico.
What do you do at SYSTRA?
I help our clients to optimise their transport offers thanks to a better monitoring of the operational performance of their networks and a better understanding of their users’ needs.
We also support our clients in the digital transformation of their businesses in order to simplify the consultation and planning processes for new urban transport plans.
And I also have the chance to manage an intrapreneurship project with our digital teams in France and our data scientists in the UK. This is a project that aims to complete our service offer in the field of cycle infrastructure planning.
What are the 3 important qualities or skills in your job?
In my opinion, the ability to listen is an essential skill in our business. In a rapidly evolving sector, listening to clients allows us to better understand their needs and to respond to them with an adapted and relevant service offer. As for the project teams, listening to them allows us to better understand their needs and constraints and to reduce the risks linked to the delivery of our projects.
Two other qualities are also appreciated by our clients: transparency and initiative, which allow us to create a long-term relationship of trust with them.
SYSTRA invests in innovation and encourages the creativity of its staff. Indeed, through the SPARK Challenge, our teams can propose innovative ideas that meet the challenges of tomorrow. SYSTRA offers tailor-made support to transform an idea into a product or a service that is relevant to our clients or employees.
Working at SYSTRA also means having the opportunity to work abroad, whether on short-term assignments or for a personal change of life. For example, I have had the opportunity to work in France, Mexico, New Zealand and various Australian cities.
I also have the opportunity to get involved in projects that are close to my heart as they help our communities respond to current climate issues.
