- Improving transparency and communication with stakeholders
WINNER OF AN INTRAPRENEURSHIP CHALLENGE
In 2020, SYSTRA launched the intrapreneurship competition SPARK Challenge in order to incubate employees’ best ideas. Cyclops was among the 4 winners of this first edition.
Eighteen months after the incubation phase the international Cyclops team produced a first application of its cycle network modelling and planning tool.
FIRST COMMERCIAL SUCCESS
The first contract obtained for the Cyclops solution was by SYSTRA in New Zealand for a cycle path project in Auckland.
The Waitematā Harbour Connections programme of bay crossing improvement provides a fully multimodal network of pedestrian, cycle, road, light rail, a new road connection and a full rearrangement of the bus network to serve the entire Auckland North port area from the Central Business District (CBD).
SYSTRA was also in charge of the analysis of the various route variants for the bay crossing, as well as the planning for the integration of active modes, using the Cyclops solution.
