On 16 March 2024, a new section of line 5 of the Istanbul Metro entered service in the eastern district of Sancaktepe, representing a significant milestone for SYSTRA's business in Türkiye.

The 4 stations brought into service and the 6.5km extension between Cekmeköy and Samandira mark the completion of the first part of Phase II of line 5, the route of which is to be extended to the town of Sultanbeyli by 2025.

I would like to thank all the experts and colleagues from SYSTRA France, SYSTRA United Arab Emirates and SYSTRA SWS Türkiye who actively cooperated to deliver this project. And we look forward to working on the Istanbul metro lines 12 and 13 projects for our client Doğuş.
