STANDARDS & GUIDELINES
The Intercity passengers services are governed by the same standards and guidelines as heavy rail transportation since there is not, to date, a rail infrastructure dedicated solely to passenger services: AREMA (infrastructure), TIG (track inspection), CROR (operating rules), AAR (rolling stock), FRA.
SYSTRA Canada has been the carrier of the knowledge of these standards within the group for many years, hence addressing not only domestic opportunities but also international ones since these North American standards/guidelines are widely used in other jurisdictions than Canada.
