Since 2023, SYSTRA ANZ teams have been providing independent certification for the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP), a vast rolling stock programme for the State of Queensland in Australia. SYSTRA is in a 50/50 project management consortium with Egis for this assignment.

This is the second major rail programme to be awarded by the Queensland Department of Transport and Highways, following a previous contract in 2018 to support the Cross River Rail project. SYSTRA is counting on this reference to continue its growth in the Australian market.

SERVING QUEENSLAND FOR THE NEXT DECADE

To meet the growing demand for rail transport in south-east Queensland, the QTMP programme plans to bring around sixty passenger trains into service by 2032. This project will support the region’s sustained demographic and economic growth over the next ten years.

SUPPORTING JOB GROWTH

The construction of the production line and trains, as well as the maintenance of the rail fleet, will also support job growth in Queensland, making this region a hotbed of rail expertise in Australia.
