Building on its long and successful involvement with a prestigious client the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), our teams in India have won a General Consultancy contract in a SYSTRA-led joint venture (JV) for Lines 10 and 12 of the Mumbai Metro.
Location of lines 10 and 12

Mumbai Metro Line 10 will be built as a western extension of Line 4/4A (Green Line) and Line 12 will be built as a southern extension of Line 5 (Orange).

The SYSTRA MVA Consulting – DB Engineering & Consulting JV emerged as the lowest preferred bidder for this contract ahead of two other consortia through the Quality and Cost-Based Selection (QCBS) method after adding technical & financial scores. The scope of the contract includes both civil and system integration work, including assistance in design, supervision, safety, quality control, and contract management.

Our teams are delighted to be working once again with MMRDA and I am sure that our expert services will result in the timely and successful implementation of Lines 10 and 12 of the Mumbai Metro. Once complete, the network will contribute to the easing of traffic congestion on the roads and facilitate travel to and from outlying regions while proving a safe, rapid, and comfortable means of transport for passengers.

SYSTRA and the Mumbai Metro: a long and successful collaboration

Our involvement in the Mumbai Metro goes back 15 years when our teams were taken on to carry out the studies for Line 1 of the network, built entirely in SYSTRA’s patented U-shaped viaduct. Subsequent assignments include the branding designs of station signages, Detailed Design Consultancy (DDC) services for the Depot at Kasheli on Line 5 (Orange Line), and a General Consultancy contract on Systems.
