Systra India's design business line is the leading design team for metros, highways, special bridges, Urban Planning and water projects in India. The team has designed over 900 kms of viaduct & Bridges along with 43 kms of tunnels and 82 underground stations, 345 Elevated & at-grade Stations, 19 Depots besides 300 plus stations being designed currently. The team has also completed 3,165 km of highways detail design projects and 22,506 km of design/ feasibility projects. The team has also worked on detailed design for Drainage and Utilities, design of WTP and STP etc.

We are also very proud to have designed the first monopile in India for the Mumbai Coastal Road project. We have the distinction of designing the fastest implemented metro project in the country with Lucknow and now have broken the record in Kanpur Metro. Apart from Indian projects the team also provides design services to projects as far as Philippines in the east to Columbia in the West.

Our design team has extensive exposure to both domestic and international markets, contracts, codes and specification.

We are seeking applications for the position of Transportation Planner / Modeller for Urban Infrastructure Project.

Missions/Main Duties

• Lead and manage traffic and transportation consultancy assignments within urban design projects.
• Plan, design, and execute traffic studies, ensuring robust methodologies and accurate data collection.
• Conduct advanced analysis and interpretation of traffic data to inform project decisions.
• Develop and calibrate Travel Demand Models (TDMs) to forecast future travel patterns and assess project feasibility.
• Function as the Transport Modeller in feasibility studies and detailed project reports for MRTS/PRTS projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including urban designers, civil engineers, and policy experts to integrate transportation solutions into broader urban planning frameworks.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.

Profile/Skills

•  Postgraduate degree in Transportation Planning / Traffic Engineering.
•  Minimum of 15 years in traffic and transportation consultancy.
•  Relevant Expertise: At least 10 years of hands-on experience in traffic studies, data analysis, and travel demand modelling.
•  Project Experience: Served as Transport Modeller in at least 3 major projects involving feasibility studies or detailed project reports for MRTS/PRTS in urban areas.
•  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
