We currently have an opportunity for a Modeller to join our Engineering team. This position within our M&E engineering team will suit a committed and ambitious modeller who can demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to play their part in a dynamic high-performance team.

The Modeller will work with a team of other modellers and engineers producing and delivering the electrical and mechanical design of allocated M&E Projects as instructed by the projects Lead M&E Engineer and/or the Senior Modeller.

Missions/Main Duties

Deliver a portfolio of projects to the required quality, time and budget, showing self-checking, with minimum input by others.
Have a positive attitude towards checking and quality.
Plan and prioritise tasks effectively for yourself with minimal input by others, reporting back on progress and delivering on commitments you have made.
Understand the relationship between hours worked and project cost, budgets and commercial pressures.
Monitor your project’s CAD progress against costs and programme.
Provide guidance to more junior members of the CAD/BIM team.

Profile/Skills

Essential

A high level of ability in the Bentley suite of products and able to provide guidance to others.
A high level of ability in applying procedures and standards that apply to CAD/Modelling and provide guidance to others.
Experience of electrical and/or mechanical engineering design principles and standards.
Experience of working with contractors in a design and build environment.
Experience within the rail sector covering a broad range of design challenges at different stages of design development.
Experience of using data management systems.
Experience of safety standards and CDM regulations and a track record of applying them, showing an ability to identify and mitigate hazards in designs.
Experience of electrical and/or mechanical engineering design principles and standards.
Experience of construction principles and standards.
Experience of working with contractors in a design and build environment.
Experience within the rail sector covering a broad range of design challenges at different stages of design development.
Knowledge of the transportation sector.
Good command of written and spoken English.
