Context

SYSTRA Taiwan Branch is dedicated to Taiwan and the Group's global rail transit system-related projects, encompassing feasibility analysis, system design, project management, testing and integration, trial operation, and commissioning operations. Currently, we are actively participating in rail transportation projects across Taiwan, with offices located in Taipei and Kaohsiung.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Lead the design, technical studies, and management of railway system projects in communication system.
  • Develop and review engineering specifications, standards, and procedures for railway system design and construction.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, to ensure compliance with project requirements and regulations.
  • Resolve technical challenges and optimize solutions to meet project objectives within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers to foster professional development and knowledge sharing within the team.

Profile/Skills

  • Diploma Holder in a STEM Field (Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required)
  • Minimum of 10 years in communication roles within the railway and/or transit systems sector.
  • Experience working on projects governed by Taiwan railway regulations and local practices. Familiarity with government agencies and regulatory bodies in Taiwan
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Proven track record managing public engagement and consultation for large-scale railway or transportation projects

Language Skills:

  • Native or near-native proficiency in Chinese (Traditional) — spoken, written, and read, and professional working proficiency in English.
  • Ability to produce high-quality communications design document
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in both Chinese and English; strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to manage diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with high attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • In-depth knowledge of Taiwan’s railway regulatory framework, including laws, standards, and procedures; familiarity with local railway practices, operational requirements, and community engagement protocols. Understanding of railway and transit systems (urban metro, heavy rail, light rail) is highly desirable.
