recruitment process – our commitment to you

We want to be clear about what you can expect from us when you apply for a position at SYSTRA. We are committed to setting out clear processes and timescales, providing feedback where appropriate, and keeping you fully informed at every stage..

1. Application and initial selection

When you submit your CV to us, our internal recruitment team will review it as soon as possible and will let you know whether or not your application has been successful. For successful applicants, our recruitment team will arrange an initial phone call to discuss the role and what you are looking for. Your CV will then be shared with the hiring manager for the role you have applied to.

The process is slightly different for our graduate and apprenticeship programmes. Applications for our graduate scheme open in October/November and for apprenticeships in February/March. Please keep an eye on our vacancies page for all the latest opportunities. Successful applicants at this first stage will be invited to complete an initial online video interview.

2. Interview process

If you are chosen to progress beyond the initial phase, you will be invited for an interview with the department that is hiring. This interview could be in-person or via an online video call. It may be a one-stage or two-stage interview, and for some roles it may include a written or technical task.

3. Notification and feedback

We will inform you of the outcome of your interview as soon as possible. If you are not selected for the role following the interview, a member of our recruitment team will be happy to provide feedback that may help you with future applications.

If you are successful at the interview stage – congratulations! We will contact you to explain what happens next.

4. Formal offer

We will always call you to share the great news and make a verbal offer. We follow this up by sending a formal offer letter and a contract for you to read and sign.

Supporting you throughout the recruitment process

If you require any adjustments or financial assistance to support you in your application or interview process, please email: reasonableadjustments@systra.com where your request will be treated confidentially and with respect. We pledge to offer an interview to any candidate with a disability who applies for a role and meets the minimum criteria.

Our recruitment coordinator, John Pease, is available to provide help and support at any stage of the application process. You can contact him at jpease@systra.com with any questions or requests.

As we are always looking to expand our team, we would still be interested in hearing from you if you fulfil most, but not all, of the relevant criteria for the role – you could be just the person we are looking for.

We welcome comments or feedback on our application and recruitment process. Please send any comments to us at candidatefeedback@systra.com.
