The assignment, which is part of the Infrastructure Plan 2035, is being carried out on behalf of the Danish Road Directorate (Vejdirektoratet). The entire route will be redesigned, with a 4-lane motorway of approximately 20km.

We are very proud to participate in ensuring solutions that are both sustainable and safe for traffic, which support growth and mobility throughout northern Jutland, and we look forward to continuing the good collaboration with the Vejdirektoratet.

Improving connections and protecting wildlife
Along the stretch north of the Limfjord, a total of 18 road bridges and wildlife passages will be built and designed by SYSTRA. The project will be carried out in the open countryside and includes interchanges, connection facilities, reconstruction of local roads and paths and the installation of noise barriers.
SYSTRA’s deliveries, which will be carried out by teams at SYSTRA Denmark, cover the following:
- 6 new major road bridges (from15-150m long)
- 9 smaller road bridges, primarily wildlife passages
- 2 medium-sized road bridges
- 1 new footbridge over the existing motorway
Design work is expected to begin in the second half of 2025, while the entire project is expected to be completed by 2031.
