In a joint venture with Egis, SYSTRA will be advising Iarnród Éireann (Irish Rail) for several years to help develop its network and make it an asset in the service of sustainable mobility.

This agreement covers a wide range of services: SYSTRA and Egis teams will support Iarnród Éireann in a number of rail infrastructure projects for passengers and freight. Experts from SYSTRA’s offices in Ireland and the United Kingdom will provide innovative and sustainable services.

We will be involved in all phases of project development: strategic planning and public policy development, design, contracting and construction.

Expanding our range of services in Ireland

We are delighted to be working with Iarnród Éireann to improve their rail network. As SYSTRA continues to develop its service offering in Ireland, this success represents a major strategic opportunity for our business and reinforces our already excellent relationship with Iarnród Éireann.

The consultancy services provided by our teams will help Iarnród Éireann to optimise the management of their projects and meet the latest criteria in terms of sustainability and the fight against climate change.

SYSTRA and Egis: major collaboration

SYSTRA and Egis are working together on numerous projects throughout the world. In Morocco, for example, Egis has teamed up with SYSTRA and Novec, a local engineering company, to build a high-speed line between Kenitra and Marrakech. This project is part of the preparations for the 2030 Football World Cup, which the country is co-hosting with Spain and Portugal.

Also underway is the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP), run as a 50/50 project management joint venture with Egis in Australia, which began in 2023 with the aim of bringing into service by 2032 a complete fleet of trains built and maintained in Queensland.

Other examples of fruitful collaboration between SYSTRA and Egis include the extension and automation of line B of the Lyon metro in France, and the construction of 3 of the 6 lines of the Riyadh automatic metro in Saudi Arabia.
