Rail project for SYSTRA in Stockholm

SYSTRA has recently completed the design of a brand-new generation of rail interlocking system for Stockholm's public infrastructure authority.

The capital’s public infrastructure authority, Trafikförvaltningen Region Stockholm, wanted to renew its interlocking system, a particularly critical piece of railway control equipment as it concentrates all the points, signals and level crossings in the Swedish capital.

Our Swedish teams had to find an alternative to the standard system, Ställverk 59, for which replacement parts are now hard to find.

Our client, Trafikförvaltningen Region Stockholm, is very satisfied with the results of our assignment and has asked us to test the new equipment on a prototype interlocking station on their rail network, while waiting to obtain the funding to continue the project. We remain open to other commercial opportunities of this type.
