Sébastien is an accomplished operations and financial leader having worked for 20-years in the transport engineering and automotive sectors. As Managing Director for Consultancy, Sébastien is responsible for the sustainable growth of the consultancy business, raising its profile its experts.

Ian Bryne
Business Director Data, Modelling & Analytics Consultancy at SYSTRA UK & Ireland
Ian Byrne is Business Director for SYSTRA’s Data, Modelling & Analytics within our Consultancy Division. He has more than 25 years of experience of policy formulation and developing strategic transport plans to modelling the complex interplay between transport and land use and developing detailed business cases to enable investment decisions. Ian is currently leading the Greater Dublin Area Demand Management Strategy and Scheme for the National Transport Authority for Ireland.

Chris Pownall
Business Director, Consultancy Division at SYSTRA’s UK & Ireland
Chris Pownall is Business Director for the Consultancy Division at SYSTRA’s UK & Ireland.
He has extensive experience of transport planning with a wide range of specialist skills in mathematical modelling, economic appraisal and market research. Chris has a deep understanding and expertise in the rail industry. He has been involved with numerous rail franchise bids, providing revenue forecasting, customer satisfaction and market research expertise, and wider modelling and research projects for major industry organisations. Chris is currently leading a team of modellers and economists working as Economic and Commercial advisors to HS2 Ltd.

Andrew Dugdale
Market Director, Conventional Rail, MRT/LRT and Highways at SYSTRA UK & Ireland
Andrew Dugdale is SYSTRA’s Market Director for mass transit, rail and highways. He has over 30 years of experience in the transport industry, he has delivered award-winning transport projects across the UK. Andrew brings extensive knowledge and experience to support SYSTRA’s ambitious growth strategy public transportation and highways.

Paul Hussey
Director Data, Modelling & Analytics at SYSTRA Ireland
Paul Hussey is Director for Data, Modelling & Analytics at SYSTRA in Ireland. Paul previously worked for the National Transport Authority (NTA) Transport Modelling & Data team. He is an experienced transport planner and modeller involved in the scoping, interrogation and development of national modelling data used to appraise major transport and economic development projects. Paul is currently Transport Impact Assessment (TIA) Programme Director for the Cork Bus Connects Sustainable Transport Corridors and is the modelling and analysis lead for the Demand Management Strategy for the Greater Dublin Area.

Andrew Archer
Director, SYSTRA Ireland
Andrew Archer is Director for SYSTRA in Ireland responsible for infrastructure development, urban design and sustainable transport. Andrew is a Chartered Engineer with over 25 years’ of experience in delivering transportation planning and engineering projects as well as advising governments and their agencies on transport and planning policy. In recent years, Andrew has delivered a number of multi-modal transport strategies in Ireland for Limerick, Waterford and Athlone; as well as developing the mobility strategy for large scale regeneration masterplans including City Edge and Clonburris.

Sinead Canny
Director for Strategic Transport Planning and Appraisal for SYSTRA Ireland
Dr. Sinéad Canny is Director for Strategic Transport Planning and Appraisal for SYSTRA in Ireland, with over 20 years’ experience advising transport organisations, governments and authorities across Ireland, the UK and the Middle East. Sinéad lead the Five Cities Demand Management Study for the Department of Transport in Ireland and oversaw several business cases on behalf of Irish Rail to support investment decisions. Sinéad is currently working with the National Transport Authority exploring the role of demand management in the decarbonisation of transport within the Greater Dublin Area.

alan Connolly
Director, Rail SYSTRA Ireland
Alan Connolly is Director of Rail for SYSTRA in Ireland based in Dublin. Alan is a chartered civil engineer and has 17 years’ experience of transport and rail infrastructure development for governments and their agencies. Alan has guided the development of Ireland’s rail network through his work on ‘Iarnród Éireann Strategy 2027’ and most recently his strategy advice for Irish Rail. Alan worked on the City Edge project – a 700ha urban regeneration scheme – where rail is a central proponent of compact sustainable development through transit-oriented development.

Eifion Jenkins
Director, Data Science at SYSTRA UK & Ireland
Eifion Jenkins is Director of Data Science for SYSTRA UK and Ireland. Eifion has 25 years’ experience leading and developing projects in the transport technology sector. Eifion developed his expertise is intelligent transport systems and has managed and commissioned transport projects across the UK and Australia for governments and the private sector. He regularly advises local authorities throughout the UK on their data requirements and analytical tools. Eifion was instrumental in developing the complex Olympic Route Network (ORN) project as part of London’s 2012 Games.

Gemma Rathbone
Director, Marketing and Communications, UK & Ireland
Gemma joined SYSTRA in 2023 as Director of Marketing & Communications. She has more than 20 years’ experience across journalism, PR, communications, marketing and engagement, with a focus on bringing a business’ stories to life through creative and collaborative work.
