Context

In India, SYSTRA is an international consulting and engineering company operating in the fields of Metros, High Speed Rail, Railways, Roads, Buildings, Urban planning, and Water Infrastructure for public and private organizations.

 

 

Missions/Main Duties

 

Key Qualities and experience : 

 

  • 20+ years’ relevant experience post qualification in engineering/infrastructure sector
  • Should have experience in leading overall EHS for an organization
  •  Should have experience in preparation of EHS Plan, carrying out audit/inspection of all sub-contractors regularly and carrying out accident/near miss investigations.
  •  Should have experience in preparation of risk assessments and conducting qualitative risk assessments.
  •  Should have reviewed Risk Assessment by sub-contractors.
  •  Should have experience in coordination of the development & execution of EHS Plans/procedures.
  •  Should have experience in preparation of required EHS reports & statistics, besides development /Implementation of EHS procedures and training programs. And maintaining / updating EHS Manual.
  •  Should have experience in Liaising with and advising the Operations Manager, Team Leaders, and EHS Champions on matters related to EHS across projects.
  •  Must have Safety certification (OHSE)
  •  Membership of national safety council / institution.
  •  Should be able to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
  •  Strong interpersonal skills and strong leadership/ team building qualities
  •  Strong acumen for business numbers, profitability, optimization, etc.
  •  Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through patience, analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  •  Result oriented and proven capability in meeting business targets and business goals of the organization
  •  Should be ready to travel.
  • Certified train the trainer.

 

Team Size: All projects safety coordinators, 5-6 in number.

  •  Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  •  Post graduate diploma in management preferred
