Local Transport Summit 2025

The Local Transport Summit 2025, taking place November 18-19, is a unique two-day residential event conducted under ‘Chatham House Rules’. It provides a relaxed environment for senior figures in UK local transport to convene, exchange insights, and tackle the sector’s biggest challenges.

At 13:00 on November 18, our Associate Director Martin Campbell will be leading a presentation during the ‘Provocations: Facing up to the challenges ahead’ session on ‘The road to 2050 – some guiding thinking for the next 25 years‘.

The impacts of climate change, AI and automation, and political populism continue to gather steam as we head into Q2 of the 21st century. Trying to deal with the rolling crises of macrotrends and ‘megathreats’, on almost a daily basis, is no easy task. We must take a step back and gain focus on what’s really important to us – as an industry and as individuals. During his presentation, Martin will ask: What kind of world do we want to live in? Can we get there, and if so, how do we make it a reality?
