Context

This requirement is for a bid opportunity only at this stage. Any engagement will be subject to successful project award and final client approval.

 

The Project Director will provide overall leadership and strategic direction for PMCM services on roads and bridges projects, acting as the primary point of accountability for project performance and client satisfaction. The role will be responsible for managing multidisciplinary teams and ensuring that all project objectives are achieved in line with contractual obligations and corporate standards.

 

Subject to project award, the successful candidate will lead project planning, mobilization, execution, and close-out activities, while establishing robust governance, reporting, risk management, and stakeholder coordination processes. They will oversee project controls, construction supervision interfaces, consultant and contractor performance, and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

 

The Project Director will also be expected to maintain strong relationships with clients, government authorities, contractors, and key stakeholders, while supporting business growth through opportunity identification, bid support, and strategic client engagement where required.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Lead and direct PMCM delivery for major roads and bridges projects from inception through completion, subject to award.
  • Serve as the senior client interface and ensure effective stakeholder management at all levels.
  • Provide leadership to project managers, discipline leads, construction management teams, and support functions.
  • Establish and monitor project delivery strategies, execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Ensure effective management of scope, risk, change control, quality, HSE, and commercial performance.
  • Oversee design coordination, construction supervision, contract administration, and project controls functions.
  • Drive timely decision-making and resolution of technical, contractual, and operational issues.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, local regulations, and company procedures.
  • Prepare and present executive-level progress reports, dashboards, and performance updates.
  • Support recruitment, mentoring, and development of project team members.
  • Contribute to bid preparation, technical proposals, and strategic positioning for future PMCM opportunities.

 

Profile/Skills

The ideal candidate will be a highly experienced infrastructure leader with a strong track record of delivering large, complex roads and bridges projects under PMCM or similar consultancy-led delivery models. They will possess excellent leadership, communication, commercial, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate effectively in demanding, high-profile project environments.
