The identified benefits of modern methods of construction (MMC) fall under five areas: Safety, Sustainability, Cost, Speed and Quality.

Safety

By undertaking digital rehearsals well before construction commences, we ensure that possible risks and hazards have been identified and mitigated using the experience of the construction supply chain. This has been applied on TRU East project for Network Rail and won the SHELT award.

Sustainability

Our approach enables our projects to meet the UN Sustainable Development Goals 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). We minimise waste through the efficient use of low carbon, pre-manufactured elements and embed circular economy principles into the design solution.

Cost

Our clients will benefit from the reduction of changes and the economies of scale that is achievable using standardised elements at the construction phase. We are experienced in working under Project13-type enterprise structures where risk allocation is effectively managed across all parties involved in the asset delivery.

Speed

Through collaboration enabled by the Project13 environment, we design modularised and standardised elements to support the accelerated delivery of the construction phase

Quality

We employ digital engineering techniques across design (Technical Assurance), manufacturing (Product information), construction and operations to demonstrate continuous improvement on subsequent projects and programme
