Currently, we are bidding for Highway projects across India. The position of Senior Social Safeguards cum OHS Specialist is the key position in these BIDs.
Missions/Main Duties
- He/She shall Coordinate with the Contractor to promote employment opportunities for local villagers, particularly for unskilled labor, in accordance with project requirements.
- Monitor and address social development matters related to the Contractor’s workforce, including workers’ living conditions at the camp and project site.
- He /She will be responsible for reviewing and approving the OHS plan, construction zone safety plans and traffic management and safety plans prepared by the contractors and ensure their strict compliance
Profile/Skills
- He/ She should be master’s degree holder in Social Sciences
- He/She should have minimum of 10 years of experience of highways and roads projects
- He/She should have minimum 7 years of experience in working as social/resettlement expert for three major civil engineering projects.
- He/She should have minimum 5 years of experience in resettlement & rehabilitation impact assessment and related studies for externally aided projects
