Currently, we are bidding for Highway projects across India. The position of Senior Environmental Specialist is the key position in these BIDs.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Monitor the Contractor’s compliance with environmental requirements, permits, and approved management plans
  • Supervise implementation of environmental mitigation measures during highway construction activities
  • Review environmental method statements, site plans, and monitoring reports submitted by the Contractor
  • Inspect site activities related to erosion control, waste management, dust, noise, water protection, and borrow areas
  • Identify environmental non-compliances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support environmental reporting and advise the supervision team and Client on environmental issues

Profile/Skills

  • He/She should have master’s degree in Environmental Engineering/ Environmental Planning/ Environmental Sciences
  • He/She should have minimum of 7 years of EA experience of highways and roads out of which at least 3 years of experience in supervising and/or implementing ESMP for major Highway projects
  • He/She should have at least one project experience in similar terrain/hill
    areas.
  • He/She must have relevant experience on environmental regulatory requirements.
