SYSTRA makes sure commuter and intercity passenger rail continues to deliver economic growth, support job creation, offer environmental benefits, and enhance our nation’s efficacy. From signals, communications, and traction power systems upgrades to infrastructure such as track and catenary design, SYSTRA has been integral to improving our nation’s commuter rail network and ensuring their safety performance.

Integral to the implementation of PTC on US commuter rail, SYSTRA has led PTC deployment on the US’s busiest commuter rail system–the Long Island Rail Road, and third busiest commuter rail system–Metro-North Railroad. In California, SYSTRA helped Metrolink become one of just four railroads in the country that reported full PTC implementation before the federal deadline.

“The Metro-North Penn Station Access represents a major transformation for New York. SYSTRA is working hard to design this new infrastructure that will drastically reduce travel times for our communities going to and from Manhattan from Connecticut, Westchester, and the Bronx.”
