This consulting project is initiated by AFD to evaluate the already commissioned Kochi Metro Phase I and Bangalore Metro phase I, which is the ex-post evaluation phase and setting baselines for evaluation for the under-construction Metro projects for Pune, Nagpur and Bangalore Phase II.
Key features of the project
The main objectives of Ex-Post study are:
- To Assess of the strengths and weaknesses of the financing granted by AFD on Bangalore and Kochi metro projects
- Confirm the expected outputs/impacts of the project and stress on areas of improvement
- compare the cost-benefit analysis to the one conducted during feasibility studies
- Provide recommendations that could help assessing the National Transport Policy
- Make recommendations on the follow-up of such evaluation exercise
The main objectives of Ex-Ante study are:
- Qualitative and quantitative analysis of the ex-ante situation of the metro projects
- To provide indicators both quantitative as well as qualitative to be used for a future ex-post evaluation of these projects
