• Brownfield Project: Redevelopment of the historic station while maintaining full daily operations. This poses significant logistical and safety challenges in a live environment.
• Suburban & Long-Distance Nodes with Connecting Skywalk: Dedicated nodes for suburban and long-distance rail services. These are linked by an elevated skywalk for seamless passenger movement.
• Conservation, Restoration and Enhancement of Heritage Structures: Meticulous preservation and restoration of all UNESCO-listed neo-Gothic elements. This includes the iconic façade, domes, turrets and interiors, ensuring cultural integrity.
• Passenger-Related Retail Building Structures: Construction of modern retail and shopping arcade spaces. This also includes food & beverage outlets, and commercial facilities to enhance passenger experience.
• Construction of Auditoriums: State-of-the-art auditoriums for public events, cultural programmes and passenger amenities.
• Modification in New Administrative Building (NAB): Upgradation and modification of the existing New Administrative Building. This is to meet contemporary operational needs.
