SYSTRA was the designer of record on the design-build team that led the replacement of two escalators at Dekalb Avenue Station and two escalators at 161st Street-Yankee Stadium Station. Both stations were open to the public and fully functional throughout construction. Our team ensured that one escalator at each station was always in service.

In addition to designing and constructing new escalators and associated equipment, the team led the integrated testing and commissioning of new escalators and associated systems, patching and repair of finishes, retrofitting work, development of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) training manuals and staff training, upgrade of water service, and state of good repair work.
