SYSTRA India has been appointed as the Detailed Design Consultant (DDC) for the critical systems of the newly sanctioned Gurugram Metro corridor. This 28.5 km elevated network is designed to bridge the connectivity gap between “Old” and “New” Gurugram. Our mandate covers the comprehensive design of the power supply and traction systems that will energize the hemicyclic route from Millennium City Centre to Cyber City, including strategic spurs to the Dwarka Expressway and the Gurugram Railway Station. By implementing advanced electromagnetic and digital monitoring solutions, SYSTRA is ensuring a reliable, high-frequency transit backbone for India’s “Millennium City.”

Key features of the project

  • Comprehensive System Design: Detailed engineering for the entire power supply and distribution network, ensuring seamless energy flow across 27 elevated stations.
  • Advanced Traction Technology: Deployment of a 750V DC Third Rail traction electrification system, chosen for its safety, aesthetic integration in urban environments, and ease of maintenance.
  • Smart SCADA Infrastructure: Design of an integrated Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for real-time, remote monitoring and automated control of the power network.
  • Intermodal Connectivity: The design facilitates critical interchanges with the Delhi Metro Yellow Line, Gurgaon Rapid Metro, and the proposed RRTS corridor, creating a unified regional transit web.
  • Strategic Spurs: Specialized system design for the 1.85 km spur to the Dwarka Expressway (Sector 101) and the vital link to the Gurugram Railway Station, enhancing last-mile connectivity.
  • Dedicated Maintenance Facility: Full electrical and traction design for the state-of-the-art maintenance depot located at Sector-33.
