We are seeking applications for the position of Structure Expert for PMC Service for Property Development & Miscellaneous Works in Southern Region.
Missions/Main Duties
Structural Design & Review
- Lead and oversee the structural design for viaducts, bridges, tunnels, stations (elevated and underground), depots, and related infrastructure.
- Review and approve detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications prepared by consultants and contractors.
- Ensure integration of structural systems with architectural and MEP requirements.
Technical Assurance
- Ensure all structural designs comply with relevant international and local codes, standards, and safety requirements.
- Conduct or oversee independent design checks and value engineering assessments.
- Collaborate in resolving technical issues, construction challenges, and unforeseen site conditions.
Project Coordination
- Work closely with other discipline leads (geotechnical, architectural, systems, etc.) to ensure holistic and coordinated design solutions.
- Participate in progress meetings, technical workshops, and design reviews with clients, consultants, and contractors.
Construction Support
- Provide technical guidance and support during construction, including responding to site queries, reviewing shop drawings, and inspecting works when required.
- Assess and approve structural modifications, temporary works, and construction methodologies.
Quality & Safety
- Ensure that design and construction activities adhere to quality management systems and safety standards.
- Support risk management and mitigation for all structural works.
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and reports for all structural engineering aspects.
Profile/Skills
- Master’s Degree in Structures.
- Graduate in Civil Engineering or Equivalent.
- More than 18 years of experience.
- Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences.
- Ability to problem solve, especially in an integrated project delivery environment, applying industry best practices.
