Celebrates Sustainable Environment with The Pokfield Campus Development
The Pokfield Campus development is expected to be completed in phases in 2027. It will be HKU’s new landmark campus hub bringing together an innovative academic complex, a sports complex, scholars’ residences, a teaching and learning space and a conference centre. It will host the HKU Business School, which is aspiring to be a leading, globally-impactful academic institution of business and economics.
The Pokfield Campus is within walking distance of the HKU Centennial Campus and Kennedy Town. The development also aims to create a sustainable, smart and healthy campus that connects with its surroundings through walking facilities and green spaces to master the challenging topography between Pokfield Road and Pok Fu Lam Road.
Our study scope involved providing input to the Master Layout Plan design and detail design of vehicular access arrangement, pick & drop off area, car park layout design and internal pedestrian facilities of the university campus development, as well as design of external pedestrian connection system between the site and the junction of Smithfield and Pokfield Road near Kennedy Town Station, and carrying out traffic and pedestrian impact and pedestrian assessment.
