Currently, we are bidding for Railway projects across India. The position of Resident Engineer (Telecom) is the key position in these BIDs.
Missions/Main Duties
- Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of telecom systems (optical fiber, communication lines, control systems) for the railway doubling project.
- Ensure integration of telecom works with track, bridge, electrification (OHE, substations), and signaling systems.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and signaling teams to avoid conflicts and ensure smooth execution.
- Review telecom designs, drawings, and construction methodologies, approving as required.
- Conduct site inspections, oversee quality assurance, and verify system functionality.
- Report progress, risks, and technical issues to the Project Manager and railway authorities.
- Maintain documentation of telecom works, ensuring timely completion aligned with overall project milestones.
Profile/Skills
- At least 3 years’ experience in JAG/SG or equivalent Grade and above of Signalling & Telecommunication department of Railways and/or as DGM/JGM and above in Signalling & Telecommunication department in RITES/IRCON/RVNL or
equivalent grade in Konkan Railway/MRVC/DFCCIL/ any JVs or SPVs with Ministry of Railways, any Metro Rail Corporation either individually or combined.
OR
- Graduate Degree in Electronics/Electronics & Telecommunication/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent with minimum experience of 10 years or Diploma in Electronics with 15 years in execution of S&T Construction projects and should
have worked as construction manager/resident engineer for two eligible assignments.
