To upgrade the school building to be functionally accessible for non-ambulatory students, visitors, and staff, SYSTRA provided architectural and engineering services.

The work included adding a new ADA-accessible ramp, the replacement in kind of deficient monumental marble entry steps and railings, an addition with an elevator, and additional ADA toilet rooms.

Major modifications incorporated new fire rescue areas and horizontal exits. Nearly 90% of existing toilet rooms were reconfigured to allow for accessibility and new toilet rooms were added to meet SCA standards.
