Context

We are looking for a Design Engineer – Civil Infrastructure & Roads to join our team and support the planning and design of infrastructure and roadworks projects. The role is suited for a candidate with strong technical knowledge, practical design experience, and a good understanding of local and regional standards within KSA/GCC.

Missions/Main Duties

The Design Engineer will be responsible for preparing and reviewing engineering designs, drawings, calculations, and technical documentation related to civil infrastructure and roads projects. The ideal candidate should be able to work closely with multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to the successful delivery of projects from concept through detailed design.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop design drawings, calculations, reports, and technical specifications for civil infrastructure and road projects.
• Support the planning and design of roads, grading, utilities, drainage, and related infrastructure elements.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure design integration and compliance with project requirements.
• Review project requirements, design criteria, standards, and authority regulations applicable in KSA and the GCC.
• Conduct technical assessments and contribute to value engineering and design optimization efforts.
• Ensure designs meet quality standards, safety requirements, and project timelines.
• Participate in internal design reviews and coordinate with clients, consultants, and relevant authorities when needed.
• Support the preparation of tender and construction documentation.
• Contribute to resolving design issues and responding to technical queries during project delivery.

Profile/Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design of civil infrastructure and roads projects.
• Experience in Saudi Arabia will be preferred.
• Arabic speaker is required.
• Good knowledge of relevant design standards, authority requirements, and engineering best practices in the region.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage design responsibilities within project deadlines.
• Experience in engineering modeling software is required.
• Familiarity with civil design and drafting tools relevant to infrastructure and roads projects.
• Experience working on multidisciplinary projects in consultancy or engineering environments.
