KNOWLEDGE SHARING AND NETWORKING
The ambassadors not only share knowledge with each other, their role is also to bring knowledge out into the organization, e.g. through sparring with colleagues on projects. At the network meetings, the ambassadors share knowledge about sustainability and are equipped to communicate and spar about sustainability in projects and individual departments. At the end of the year, the ambassadors were tasked with facilitating sustainability workshops in the departments, focusing on how each department can work with sustainability. This work is in full swing.
Two of the ambassadors, Gitte Molnit and Louise Gibb, work as project managers and have since joining the network facilitated presentations and workshops on sustainability in SYSTRA’s Project Management department.
Together, they have discussed how they and their colleagues in project management can better integrate sustainability into all projects, and a joint online group has been created for knowledge sharing and experience exchange.
The aim is to start a conversation within the department and create a common language to talk about sustainability and to map out who knows what about the topic. Everyone knows something, but we know something different.
Gitte Molnit, Project Manager
Incorporating sustainability into all projects requires new habits and new ways of thinking, but the goal is that over time it will become part of ‘the Atkins way’ to incorporate sustainability into all aspects of our work.
Louise Gibb, Project Manager
A LOOK INTO THE REST OF 2023
The Sustainability Network will continue its work in 2023, and the other ambassadors are busy running workshops and presentations across the organization. Our infrastructure plays a huge role in the green transition, and at SYSTRA we look forward to continuing to create high-quality and long-lasting infrastructure and to ensure efficient maintenance in collaboration with our customers and partners.
