In the geotechnical department at SYSTRA, things are busy. Really busy. The team provides consulting services for major infrastructure projects such as the new railway over West Funen, the expansion of the Øresund Motorway, and the extension of the Hillerød Motorway, which has created a significant need for growth.

Recruitment has been a key focus in the geotechnical group, which has grown from 3 to 18 employees in just six years. In the past year alone, 7 new colleagues have joined the group, with seniority now ranging from 2 to 33 years of experience. In other words, the group has increased its number of employees sixfold in just a few years.

We are experiencing high demand for geotechnical expertise, and therefore we have focused on growth over the past few years, which has proven to be successful.

Martin Foget, Group lLader of the Geotechnical Group

The Geotechnical Group is anchored in the Bridges & Structures department and has employees in Horsens, Aarhus, and Ørestad. Recently, the group has recruited both senior and junior geotechnical engineers, and there are excellent opportunities for training younger employees, as more than half of the group has over 10 years of experience.

I believe we have a really good collaboration within the Geotechnical Group across our offices, where we provide mutual support on projects. Several of the individuals we have approached have contacted their acquaintances to learn more about what it’s like to work at SYSTRA, and the feedback has been positive.
