The Bidadari Estate has a total site area of 93 ha and the architectural package that SYSTRA was involved in has a minimum number of 1,000 dwelling units. The master planning sets the stage for a regional park with a lake, a local recreational, social and commercial hub that is closely associated with the lake, preserving a heritage road and trees and most important of all, bring a paradigm shift in public housing whereby residents live right within a park. It also includes a bus interchange which is integrated with the Woodleigh MRT Station.

SYSTRA were appointed to undertake a pedestrian simulation study to model the future condition of HDB Bidadari Bus Interchenge. HDB Bidadari Integrated Development (C5) Bus Interchange pedestrian modelling by using PTV VISSIM. This study included terminal future catchment forecasting, terminal facility adequacy manual assessment, vehicle/pedestrian route design, microsimulation and proposed recommendation to achieve better mobility between bus interchange and nearby residential area.
