Phase One of HS2 will provide dedicated high-speed rail services between London, Birmingham and the West Midlands.
It will extend for approximately 230 km (143 miles). Just north of Lichfield, high speed trains will join the West Coast Main Line for journeys to and from Manchester, the North West and Scotland. In future, Phase Two of HS2 will extend the high-speed rail network northwards to Leeds and Manchester. Phase Two will run between Birmingham and Leeds and between Birmingham and Manchester, with connections onto the West Coast Main Line south of Wigan and the East Coast Main Line south of York.
HS2 Phase 1 Main Works Civils Contracts (MWCC) is split into seven packages covering the Northern, Central and Southern Areas of the route, determined by HS2.

SYSTRA will carry the following responsibilities, flowing from the requirements above, from design to technical support, and interface with the principal designer.
SYSTRA Korea is involved in the structural engineering design of major underbridges, and also provides BIM and Technical management services on the complex multi disciplines packages which form the project.
This project is a main achievement for SYSTRA Korea in term of BIM deployment and interfaces with the other SYSTRA production centers worldwide.
